The stunning romantic private garden of The Residence, a private house adjoining the Hotel, and Parkview which offer spectacular views of the River Avon and Hagley Park, or you can opt for the exclusive use of both areas. For more intimate gatherings the residence dining room and cocktail area combined with the garden and is the perfect venue to indulge yourselves and your guests.

All of our wedding packages are tailored to your personal event’s size, scope, and budget. Our events team will help create a wedding day that is delightfully yours. From menus to wine selections, and table dressings, a wedding at The George reflects your choices and personality.

The George can seat up to 90 guests and can provide accommodation for both the wedding party and guests. Another bonus is abundant free car parking allowing easy access for your guests.

Superb catering is a hallmark of our award-winning restaurants, our Executive Chef maintains these same standards to the menus designed for you and your guests.

We have a range of New Zealand wedding packages and menu styles for you to consider. Perhaps you dream of a lavish high tea with champagne or an elegant reception in the style of the 1920s art deco era with canapes and champagne.

Seated (plated) menus are also available which cater to the more traditional seated and fully-served menu option.

Buffet style offers a relaxed full meal service while a family-style menu with shared platters of cuisine on each of your guest tables offers a convivial atmosphere.
