Enchanting Heritage Venue - Alberton

Alberton, built in 1863, is one of Auckland’s finest historic houses. Centrally located in Mt Albert, this elegant building has Indian influenced verandahs and turrets, and a heritage garden and lawn area. Renowned for its balls, garden parties and musical soirées held in the 19th and early 20th centuries, it is a perfect venue for your wedding today.

The house provides a romantic and picturesque setting for your wedding, as well as birthdays, anniversaries, garden parties, celebration of life services, high teas, bridal and baby showers, corporate events and meetings.

We offer flexible catering options and can recommend caterers if required. Self-catering is also welcome. Tea and coffee can be provided, and our collection of antique fine china and glassware are available for hire. Our spaces can accommodate both seated dining through to cocktail services, either inside the Victorian ball room, or on the picturesque veranda and lawn. The site is also suitable for marquees.

Venue hire includes full access to the historic house and grounds for your guests to explore.

Alberton is fifteen minutes from downtown Auckland and is well connected with transport links.

Alberton is open to view Wednesday through Sunday, 10.30am to 4.30pm, or by appointment.
