Kiaora! I'm Kassandra Lynne, the spirited artist with a lens, your unconventional photographer, wellness guide, and partner in adventure! Originally hailing from the vibrant vibes of Southern California, I traded the city lights for the enchanting landscapes of the South Island, NZ in 2012. Since then, I've been immersing myself in the local arts scene, contributing a dash of magic to community events, weddings, 1:1 client portrait experiences and dancing through the creative tapestry that is Dunedin.

In a previous life, I owned and operated Benessere Studios, a haven for wellness and creativity that buzzed with the energy of art, music, & wellness events. My journey with photography started in the mystical realm of dark rooms, where the alchemy of film photography first captivated me. Although I've embraced the digital world, my heart still beats in rhythm with the nostalgia of film, a passion that has been with me since childhood. My packages include an element of film because I just can’t shake my love for it and I love to share this with my clients.

Drawn to the unconventional and inspired by visionaries like Helmut Newton and Ellen Von Unwerth, I embark on a visual journey that traverses the spectrum from dark and mysterious to dreamy and ethereal. My lens doesn’t conform to stiff poses; it seeks to capture the raw beauty, genuine personality, and the love that intertwines two souls.

Fast forward to today, and I've transitioned into specialising in wedding photography, elopements, bridal boudoir, rewild / boudoir portrait experiences, & intimate adventure portraits for couples or individuals seeking to reconnect with what matters most. I'm not just a photographer—I'm your wellness guide and adventure companion, weaving a holistic approach into every frame. Together, let’s explore the wonders of Aotearoa, from the whispering forests to the golden beaches, towering mountains, and meandering rivers.

For me, it’s not about creating cookie-cutter photos; it’s about crafting timeless memories. Beyond the lens, I've been an active part of Dunedin’s arts community, co-founding the Glorybox arts trust and contributing to various large-scale events like the Dunedin Fringe Festival, OUSA, and the Vogel St Party. My involvement extends to the ownership of Benessere Studios, a space that hosted a vibrant blend of art events featuring independent musicians, designers, and artists from the local community. I now also run a non-profit organisation by the name of The Rewild Legacy where we facilitate women’s health retreats in bespoke remote areas of the South Island.

My exploration of photography extends not only behind the camera but also in front, as I've played the role of the "muse" for visual and performance artists. This exchange between artist and muse is a concept that continues to shape my craft, forming the basis of exhibitions and ongoing series.

Internationally, my work has graced the streets of San Diego and Los Angeles, showcasing the unique flavour of Dunedin to a global audience. Traveling extensively has allowed me to document diverse surroundings, creating a visual diary that speaks volumes about the beauty and diversity of our world.

My work, both privately and publicly commissioned, has spanned the realms of commercial photography and high art, with a wee dabble in the fashion arena. Collaborating with local designers, I've had the pleasure of capturing the essence of collections and creating fashion spreads that resonate with the edgy, boundary-pushing inspiration drawn from my influences.

My focus isn’t just on delivering beautiful photos; it’s about curating once-in-a-lifetime memories. Each frame becomes a story, a testament to the unique love and connection shared between individuals. My approach is not centred on posing clients but on capturing the essence of a moment—the raw beauty, the personalities, and the love that binds two souls.
