Omatua

Omatua is the perfect riverside, rural all-weather venue with extensive gardens allowing multiple wedding ceremony options and an abundance of photo opportunities in the summer, or an intimate fireside wedding in the ‘Von Dadelzen’ room in the winter.

The property and buildings are wheelchair accessible and include a commercial kitchen, toilet facilities, and accommodation for guests. BYO beverages and caterer, or park up a food truck on the lawn and create a festival-style wedding with our lawn games and furniture with your guests and yourselves staying on-site to make a fun weekend of it!

Our venue can also cater for a marquee-style wedding, and we have a selection of packages available to help you set up a beautiful outdoor wedding. This includes marquee, lighting, set up, dance floor, and additional hire items required.

Accommodation

Omatua can host up to 47 guests in 10 comfortable dormitory-style bedrooms. Bedroom layouts:

5 bedrooms each contain 1 x Queen and 4 x king single beds.

1 bedroom contains 8 x king single beds.

1 bedroom has two bedrooms within it, containing 1 x Queen and 1 king single respectively, and an ensuite.

3 bedrooms contain queen beds.

Omatua has two large separate halls/living areas - one, a recently furnished and decorated dining area attached to the full commercial kitchen which can seat 60 guests comfortably beside the fire, with large bay windows on one side of the room looking out toward the river. The other area is a large hall which is great for seating large groups of up to 100 people.

Outdoor living is set over 5 acres of sprawling gardens including native and exotic trees.
