Creating food that is honest, remarkable and simply perfect – this is what chef Nick Arnold is all about. Whether he’s cooking for his friends, or catering for an event, Nick loves to see people experience food and say, “my god, this is amazing!”
Nick’s passion for good food is inspired by French cooking and in particular Michelin star chef Pierre Koffman. After working as a head chef in London, Bristol and Bath, Nick returned to New Zealand in 2005, eventually making Martinborough his home. Nick and his wife Susan established Trestle & Mortar in 2006, and also own the popular Martinborough joint Café Medici.
