Nestled on a river terrace at the quiet end of the beautiful Tukituki Valley, Havelock North, The School House (Originally the Hastings School Hall, built in 1895) has been relocated and lovingly restored to its former glory.

Venues

The School House The School House wedding venue is situated in the paddock next to the schoolhouse and overlooks Mount Erin. The backdrop of The School House and the stunning rural views make for the perfect setting for your special day.

The Red Barn The Red Barn wedding venue is nestled between the old historical Red Woolshed and the Red Boatshed. This site offers river views of the beautiful Tukituki River and Mount Erin. The charming setting offers a beautiful setting for your special day.

Accommodation

The heart of The School House is a large open-plan living room with a full kitchen and a spacious double bedroom with an en-suite at each end.

Designed to sleep two couples in luxury, there are also two king single beds and a pull-out sofa (to comfortably sleep eight) and the building is wheelchair friendly. All doors open out to a large veranda with beautiful views overlooking the valley. The library features a fine selection of quality books, magazines and CDs/DVDs.

The Tukituki River renowned for its trout fishing is only a stroll away. There is safe paddocking for your horses if you are here for eventing or trekking.
