Owners Melanie & Jaimee believe that food is the heart of conversation and something your guests will remember for years to come. Food brings people together & creating the perfect menu for your special day should be an enjoyable process. Fat kiwi does their best to ensure that choosing the most important meal in your life is as stress free as possible.

Our cafe grew from a lifelong passion for serving delicious food that makes people happy. This has since evolved into catering alongside the Fat pigeon and Fat Owl. Just like our sister cafe, The Fat Pigeon, down the road in Pio Pio, our food is inspired by our Grandmothers’ kitchen and good, honest, kiwi-farmhouse hospitality. We work alongside The Fat owl Wedding Venue catering to your needs on your special day.

We also have a cafe in Otorohanga that serves delicious fair-trade Ozone Coffee that’s world famous in Otorohanga!

We offer an affordable diverse menu that caterers to all needs. We have an array of options that are sure to please. We offer, Gluten Free, Vegan, Vegetarian and Dairy Free options.
