Alpine Springs Helicopters operates from Hanmer Springs, North Canterbury, New Zealand providing services South Island wide. Bill Hales founded Alpine Springs Helicopters in 1995 building on his experience gained since joining the industry in 1979. Our pilots are all experienced with mountain flying and have extensive local knowledge. Bill Hales has over 7,000 hours and pilot Mike Geen 700 hours. We operate two Hughes 500 helicopters and one Robinson 22 helicopter allowing us to cater for a variety of work catering from one passenger to groups and lifting of equipment. Alpine Springs Helicopters has NZCAA135, NZCAA137 licenses and Department of Conservation landing license.
