Jay Lucas Photography

Hey, I’m Jay, like most other photographers I began my career by taking photos of my kids. I wanted to have decent photos of them that they can look back and cherish when they grow up.

I never had any formal photography training nor any photography degree under my name. Like any craft, practice makes you better at something overtime. I have vision in my head and i just make sure it transcend in my photos.

Years later, one of my colleague mentioned that he'll be proposing to his partner and I asked if I can tag along and take photos of the well coordinated surprise proposal. Safe to say they like the photos very much that they ask if I can be their wedding photographer! In 2020, I have no assistant to help me, no idea of what I'm about to put myself into, dive outside my comfort zone and shoot my first wedding gig.

Most of my work are family portraits and weddings. I'm pretty open in trying out other venues for my creativity and learn more about photography.
