Our heritage architectural spaces are full of gorgeous details and romantic nooks, which provide the perfect backdrop for your special day. We know planning your Big Day is an even bigger task than the name suggests, and our expert team are here to answer all of your questions. We'll take care of the logistics so that you and your whānau can enjoy a picture-perfect, seamless celebration.

Our full-day venue hire has generous inclusions, to ensure you get the best equipment and expertise to make your planning as smooth as possible. This includes an on-site function manager for your wedding day, full wedding coordinator services throughout planning, tables (up to 40), chairs, and some glassware.

Functions on Hastings

Our largest venue and perfect for up to 400 dinner guests (with room for a dancefloor area), or 500 guests for your ceremony, the ceiling in Functions on Hastings is a breath-taking artistic representation of the Mākirikiri stream, which runs beneath Toitoi. Functions on Hastings has a modern style and easy, ground-level accessibility.

Cushing Foyer

Adjoining Functions on Hastings, Cushing Foyer can be used as a pre-function venue space to welcome your guests, for cocktails, or as a catering space for a buffet-style food offering when guests are seated in Functions on Hastings.

Opera House

Getting married in the Opera House guarantees your guests a memorable experience! Surrounded by an opulent Art Nouveau interior of awe-inspiring proportions, the Opera House is perfect for a unique ceremony and/or cocktails on stage.

Assembly Ballroom

The stunning Assembly Ballroom features Hawke’s Bay’s largest sprung dance floor, and an inbuilt stage, and is an elegant space for a ceremony and/or reception. With a 5m high ceiling, rigging points for truss and lighting, and a 20m long balcony overlooking Heretaunga Street, this room combines lavishly refurbished architectural features and modern technology.

Shakespeare

Shakespeare is an ideal space for medium-size wedding celebrations and can accommodate both dinner and cocktails. This heritage space is easily accessible via lift or stairs from Heretaunga Street and features a separate space for catering.
