I'm Barbara Henderson-Wragge. By day, I manage a 160-bed Student Apartment Complex, and whenever the opportunity arises, I thoroughly enjoy serving as a Celebrant.

Having devoted years to public speaking and part-time radio announcing, I've also contributed my time to community organizations like Rotary and Relay for Life.

Officiating ceremonies for weddings, naming ceremonies, vow renewals, and funerals is a profound honour and genuine pleasure. Whether initiating couples into their new life journey or commemorating the life of someone who lived to the fullest, working with people is a gratifying privilege.

As a member of CANZ (Celebrants Association of New Zealand) and Powertalk New Zealand, I benefit from ongoing education and invaluable support.

In my daily role, I connect with individuals from around the world. I strive to make them feel welcome, secure and included. Blessed with numerous young friends who've become like family from across the globe, I believe that, regardless of colour, creed, or nationality, we all share four basic needs: food in our belly, clothes on our backs, a roof over our heads, and someone to love us.

Love is omnipresent and deserves celebration. When two people wish to embark on life’s journey together, there should be no barriers, as ultimately, their families and communities thrive on strong, loving relationships.
