Beaufords at Totara Park

Set in the picturesque grounds of Totara Park, adjacent to Auckland’s Regional Botanic Gardens, Beaufords magnificent 1930s homestead, with a large marquee extension and lush private gardens, provides a full-service, all-weather venue.

Just two minutes off the motorway at Manurewa. The property includes the original homestead and a large secluded private garden and marquee.

Marriage ceremony, photographs, reception and dance all at the same convenient premises.

Summer Weddings

In the summer months, Beaufords is ideal. Ceremonies in the garden are surrounded by gracious Totara trees, followed by drinks and hors d’oeuvres while photos are being taken on the grounds. For the reception, there is the choice of dining inside the garden marquee or in the main dining room of the homestead. Dancing under the stars outside by the marquee, or inside the homestead.

Capacity: The marquee has a capacity for up to 95 guests (or using a marquee extension, up to 150 guests) - the main dining room has a capacity for 60 -70 guests.

Winter Weddings

In the winter months, Beaufords offers a garden ceremony on the lawn or paved areas or the shelter of the marquee overlooking the garden. Reception dining and dancing take place inside the homestead with the bonus of a cosy log fire.

Capacity: 60 - 70 guests.

Beaufords, renowned for its superb buffets, has several menus, both with options. For the more informal wedding there is also the choice of a cocktail menu.

Beauford House is recognised as a Category A scheduled historic heritage building with a rich history.

Its distinctive old-English and neo-Georgian architectural styles provide a unique contrast with a fitting backdrop to the folklore of its colourful past.

Once renowned as a luxurious hideaway for prominent and fashionable Aucklanders in the 1930s, 40s and 50s, it gained particular notoriety in the late 1950s for its glamorous and scandalous high-society parties.
