Brides and grooms to be....
Is it worth your time as a couple who are getting married to take a look at the newbies in the big wide world of wedding photography?
ABSOLUTELY! ….a fresh perspective is what we bring to the market.
This is our upper hand when in the running for who you choose to take your memories on your wedding day. Fresh eyes in all industries throughout the world have brought new life into the way we see everything. Communication, healthcare, products in our homes etc etc they have brought us further in the last 100 years than any previous century before.
This is what i like to bring in my photography. A fresh perspective to the images that I take on your wedding day. Im not going to make you stand in a line and jump in the air, no charlies angels finger guns here!
Capturing your day for me is more of a wait, watch and see. Wait and that smile will come, watch and get that photo where the bride is looking into her new husbands eyes for the first time and knowing that she is loved.
Perspective is also knowing where you stand. It is your day and it is what you want, your special touches showing who you are. Im just there to document it, forcing people to do things they don’t feel comfortable with is not my style.
My aim? That 20 years down the track you can go back to your photos and remember this day in your life with love and happiness. Not, "Oh, and that photographer…pity she was so difficult!"
Photographers...
People can get very business focused in this world. As a creative person i have to live in that world and also keep my head in the creative game. Im not going to be any good to anyone if I'm just producing stock standard images for my clients over and over again.
These days photographers and other creatives have been blessed with a large range of places we can use to bring fresh ideas to a wedding. The latest thing i have found people have flocked to is Pinterest, just to name one. Such amazing minds have had their work combined onto one website to allow people to share it around the world.
Being a photographer was always considered a very secluded profession. However with the help of the internet, all corners of the world have been able to come together and show others who they are and what they have designed.
If you have not been introduced to the heaven sent goodness of Creative Live….oh my, have you been missing out!!! Free to watch live online or buy and keep forever, teaching from international photographers, letting you in on all the tricks of the trade they have been honing for 20years plus. It is honestly the best thing that has happened to photographers since Photoshop!
Standing out from the crowd, no matter how long you have been in business, growing your business in your niche of the market to help you become successful is of the utmost importance. Don’t de value yourself if you are like me and only been on the scene for a short time. If your worth it and work hard with the right support there is no way you cannot be one of the best!
